SHOW ‘N’ HELL is filmed in front of a live studio audience, starring members of the live studio audience, and leaving the outcome of every show up to the live studio audience!

EXPERIENCE DESIGN
Branching narratives: Every show is written to have multiple paths and outcomes that are dependent on audience input
Tiered participation: A small number of audience members are cast in the show, while the rest watch and interact with the show via their “remote controls”
Slippery fourth wall: From the second participants enter the space, every moment is a part of the “show,” including every moment before, between, and after the actual “television show” we are there to shoot. Likewise, every person staffing the show is a performer - meaning in many cases, the director of a particular show is both directing the show and playing the character of “director.”
INTERACTIVE TECHNOLOGY
Custom branching script editor: All shows were written into a custom script editor that supported branches based on audience votes and real-time monitoring of audience sentiment.
Remote controls: Every audience member has a “remote control” that allows them to vote on various outcomes of the shows
Live-updating teleprompters: The cast and audience alike are given direction off of teleprompters capable of updating in real-time and responding to audience choice
We wrote six original shows for the initial run of Show ‘N’ Hell, but the frame is designed to support a constantly shifting rotation of new shows so that audiences never have the same experience twice.
